there should be some kind of coupling over both shafts where they meet and on this coupling should be some set screws/grub screws remove them and using a pry bar try to pry them apart depending on the age of the unit they could be rusted together quite well try spraying it with wd-40 and let it soak in before attempting to pry it apart hope this helps

It likely uses a tapered shaft to hold the rotor to the engine shaft. Remove the covers to expose the end of the rotor shaft. It should have a threaded rod which tightens into the engine shaft.
I’ve had to remove the rotor from a Coleman Powermate generator and have pictures on my web page.
