Having a portable source of power in this day and age is becoming more and more important. With the increase in popularity of family camping holidays, the necessity of a source of power for all the modern conveniences on which we have come to depend has grown. Some time ago we could have gone on holiday, left everything behind and returned to it refreshed a week or two later. But with the advent of the cell phone, disappearing from the radar has become something that people are not willing to do. This has brought with it the advent of the cell phone charger among other things.

In order to power these items of convenience, away from a local grid providing direct electricity, it has become a matter of depending on sources such as a portable gas generator. This allows us to get electricity for our cell phone chargers, hair care appliances and other mod cons without having to compromise on the location of our holidays. However we feel about the spread of such items into our everyday lives, it is a fact of life that without them, many of us feel entirely unprepared to go about our days and nights.

Luckily the march of technology in our homes has been matched in step by that of innovation in alternative power sources. We can feel secure in the knowledge that our lives are being made more convenient, if we have to trade some of our independence for it.
