Will a Guardian automatic natural gas powered generator increase the value of my home?
I'm thinking about having a Guardian automatic natural gas powered generator installed at my home to protect against power outages and I want to know if it will make my home more attractive to potential buyers. I have a basement with a sump pump so I am, naturally, concerned about power outages.
Yes.
Especially if you have a basement sump pump and there is water in it all the time. The generators they are making now are awesome machines and provide piece of mind for a lot of different reasons. Just be prepared for your gas bill when you have an extended power outage!
Make sure the generator is installed correctly and meets all codes... use a contractor who has done several. Talk with them to find out what maintenance is required / tests that need to be done periodically. Don't just ignore the thing or it will not work when you need it... now what good would that do.

Yes, undoubtedly. After last yrs wind storms in Pacific North West… peace of mind during a storm seems to top potential buyers minds. You will gain every cent and more if you install Guardian system.

I agree with the other answers here but keep in mind that you’ll likely NOT get full return on your investment. If I had to guess, you’d get back no more than 75%.
Good Luck
